Process

Our established consultancy services provide support to project teams internally, working closely to deliver a high-quality service to the GMPA. By aligning the terms on which the FM provider does business, we help ensure that operations run smoothly. To ensure compliance, we continuously review costs and assess quality and service delivery so that GMP can operate with confidence.

Result

Through successful collaboration, Vercity oversaw the design and construction phases of the project and continues to oversee its financing, maintenance and contractual compliance. With one of the redundant stations now being converted into a forensic investigation unit, the project continues to create a positive impact for the public sector, while maintaining investor returns.

Project Impact

The project has received several awards, including a Greater Manchester Police Star Award and a COVID-19 Service Award in recognition of the facilities management staff who went over and above during the pandemic. In keeping with our commitment to environmental, social, governance principles, the project has also contributed to the annual maintenance of a memorial to two officers who lost their lives while on duty.

“Vercity delivers a comprehensive and flexible SPV management service to the Greater Manchester Police project. The whole team, from general management to specialist services such as lifecycle advisors, are reactive and responsive addressing the needs of both the Project Co board but also, and possibly more importantly, those of the Police Authority and end-users. Following the demise of Carillion in January 2018, Vercity was instrumental in ensuring the project sites continued to operate smoothly and successfully managing the transition to a new FM provider”.
