The project
Vercity delivers the management service agreement (MSA) for HoldCo’s renewable energy project. The project is in the operational phase, having already assisted the investors in signing the agreement and reaching financial close. Walney is the world´s biggest offshore wind farm and Vercity is focused on ensuring the facilities management (FM) providers meet all contract compliance obligations.
Approach
In providing financial management and company secretarial services to the project, HoldCo benefits from the UK’s Contract for Differences (CfD) subsidy mechanism. Vercity adds value to the project through habitat management and cultivating effective processes that drive performance. We resolve power quality issues to ensure grid compliance and develop sustainable financial models.

The result
The Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm is located in the Irish Sea, approximately 19km from the Walney Island coast in Cumbria, off the North-West coast of England. The area covers 145 km2 in total, which is roughly the area of 20,000 football pitches.
Project impact
The extension project delivers 659MW, enough to power more than 590,000 UK homes. It consists of 87 wind turbines that use Siemens 7MW turbines and MHI Vestas 8.25MW turbines. Through continuous collaboration and liaison with management, contractors, constructors, stakeholders and other third parties, Vercity continues to assist in achieving a positive outcome for the extension project.
